Demolition work
Demolition work will be undertaken on site in accordance with the Listed Building Consent 18/02985/LBC issued by Bedford Borough Council Planning Department and is scheduled to take place for approximately 16 weeks – starting from the 28th April 2025.

Reptile rehoming
This is a proactive and legally mandated process where expert ecologists carefully survey, capture, and safely relocate reptiles from the former Stewartby Brickworks site to specially prepared, thriving new habitats.

Bird deterrent devices on site
Residents may be hearing loud noises across the former Stewartby Brickworks site. The noise relates to bird deterrent devices which are currently being employed on site, and this is to deter birds from nesting prior to any demolition that takes place on site.
