Demolition work
Demolition work will be undertaken on site in accordance with the Listed Building Consent 18/02985/LBC issued by Bedford Borough Council Planning Department and is scheduled to take place for approximately 16 weeks – starting from the 28th April 2025.
Apart from abnormal / special deliveries generally the working hours will be 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 1pm Saturday. Although this will be a working demolition site, all practical measures will be undertaken to keep noise, dust and vibration to a minimum during working hours.
Access for the demolition will be via the existing site entrance on Broadmead Road, and we will endeavour to minimise any disturbance by restricting vehicle movements as far as possible, cleaning vehicles before they leave site to ensure the carriageway and public footways remain free from debris.
